Decisions, revisions and open questions, recorded as they happen, including the targets that were replaced when the arithmetic disagreed with the ambition.

Prototype development. Not in production and not available to order.

  1. Entry 001Concept DefinitionCORVO-001 Concept DefinitionCORVO-001 was chartered: a weighted, modular shift knob establishing the product language for everything CORVO makes after it.
  2. Entry 002Digital EngineeringMass Target RevisionThe original ~250 g aluminium target was mathematically unreachable inside the approved envelope. The target was revised to 205–220 g and formally replaced, not quietly kept.
  3. Entry 003Digital EngineeringBalance Band ValidationThe below-midplane mass band was set at 40–48%. The Rev A aluminium assembly calculates to 42.6%, with the centre of gravity 0.2 mm above the geometric midplane.
  4. Entry 004Digital EngineeringAdapter Bore RevisionThe internal adapter bore was reduced from Ø22 mm to Ø19 mm, preserving a validated 5.5 mm neck wall around the insert.
  5. Entry 005Shape LockedRev A Geometry LockThe exterior profile was locked as the Rev A provisional baseline: 64 mm tall, Ø50 crown carried above the midplane, one continuous machined form.
  6. Entry 006Physical PrototypeFirst Physical Prototype OrderedThe first physical CORVO-001 Rev A prototype has been ordered. The program moves from digital engineering to hardware.
  7. Entry 007Digital EngineeringAdapter Retention ResolvedThe longest-standing open item on the program is closed. Holding the adapter against rotation and holding it against pull-out are now two separate mechanical joints instead of one overloaded feature. No adhesive in either load path.
  8. Entry 008Digital EngineeringThe Check We Did Not HaveThe machine shop's production review caught a part that could not be assembled, and caught it before cutting. The adapter fit its seat perfectly and could never have reached it. The revision that fixes it matters less than the check that should have found it first.
